Mothering Sunday or Mothers Day as we have come to know it is on 6th March 2016 this year. Which one do you prefer?
Perthshire Preserves have lots of lovely things to suit every budget. A jar of marmalade, jam or chutney is well within your pocket money (if you are buying it yourself Kate will wrap it for you too).
For grown-ups looking for a special gift for their Mum or Mother in Law we have boxes and hampers available. You may go for our Strawberry and Champagne Conserve along with a Bucks Fizz Marmalade to make breakfast go with a swing. Or stick with our more traditional preserves which include Gooseberry Jam, Rhubarb and Ginger Conserve or our award-winning Seville Marmalade. Our most recent overseas order was a Mothers day gift of 3 jars of Strawberry & Pink champagne Conserve & went to Japan.
We make all our preserves in small batches in our professional kitchen located in Stirling. We have 18 awards including two gold medals; one for our Deanston Malt Marmalade which we make for Deanston Distillery and one for our Seedless Blackcurrant Conserve which was Kate’s great Granny’s recipe.
Apricot Conserve
Our best sellers might surprise you. They are our very popular Lemon Preserve ( Lemon Curd ) which we supply to Gleneagles Hotel in vast quantities. Passionfruit Curd is also very very popular with young and old alike. Double Espresso Ale Marmalade made from a local brewery located in Throsk, just outside Stirling. Extra brownie points if you make a Tiramisu, mixing the marmalade into the cream, for dessert for lunch on Mothering Sunday. Alternatively our Hot Banana Chutney heads the race with our Curried Tomato Chutney coming in second place.
We are both passionate about what we produce, we do not copy other producers but listen to our customers and then develop recipes to suit.
